What we collect
Chequered does not require an account. If you ask for a race reminder, we store the email address you provide, the time you gave permission, and whether that subscription is active.
When analytics are enabled, we collect anonymous page views and basic navigation events such as which area of the site was visited. We do not use session recording, broad click autocapture, or identified user profiles, and we never send reminder email addresses to PostHog.
Why we use it
Reminder details are used to prepare future race notifications. Anonymous analytics help us understand which pages are useful and where the site needs improvement.
Service providers
Reminder subscriptions are stored in the Chequered database hosted by Railway. The same address is sent to Loops and added to the Chequered reminder list so a future race reminder can be delivered. When enabled, anonymous analytics are sent to PostHog’s EU service. If operational alerts are enabled, a masked version of the address is sent to the Chequered owner’s private Slack channel and/or push notification device. We do not sell personal information.
Your choices
You do not have to submit an email address. Browser Do Not Track settings are respected by analytics. You can ask for a reminder subscription to be removed by contacting the site owner through the Chequered repository.
